Moving to Florida came with a lot of fun new things, like exploring new cities, living the ocean lifestyle, sand that I can never get out of my backseat, and playing chicken trying to cross a 6 lane highway, but it also came with a challenge I hadn’t been very good at for years: making new friends.
And then along came Megan, one of the first sweet souls I met when I moved to Florida. I spent my first 3 months in Florida in Nocatee trying all the new things. While I was church shopping (you know, trying out a few different churches til you find one that feels like home), I’d heard of a barre studio right down the road. I’d been dying to try barre for years but there wasn’t anything close by back in my small Pennsylvania hometown. So I reached out to the owner of the barre studio on Instagram to ask about the classes and felt like I’d instantly made a new friend. Megan was so sweet and welcoming and we became fast friends before we ever met in real life.
Meanwhile, my first time at one of the churches in Nocatee, I signed up to volunteer at an upcoming event and ended up in the same group as Megan. It was the first time we’d met in real life and it was only like a week after we’d connected on Instagram. It felt like divine timing! Since then, it’s been a joy to get to see how passionate Megan is about empowering women with her heart of gold. I love that you get to connect with a community of incredible women in real life Megan’s CrossBarre studio. (FYI Megan’s BootyBarre class is killer but SOO good!)
It’s no surprise that Megan’s family is just as sweet! I instantly fell in love with Ruby’s wild blonde curls, sweet smile, and sparkly gold polka dot dress. Ruby loves cheerleading (girl after my own heart) and Wyatt plays baseball. They were so silly and fun for their photos!
Megan, Nick, Ruby, and Wyatt, your smiles and laughter are infectious! I hope you love your photos as much as I do (which is a whole lot!).
